Firstly, there is raw material difference, main dipping material is XNBR, polymerizing 1,3 BD and ACN under a high temperature, then get XNBR. Many chemical factories can produce the XNBR, but the technology and processes are very difference, high temperature of polymerization breaks the 2 double chemical bonds of 1,3BD and ACN, then they connect, the molecular formula would last indefinitely if the technology and process are good, the quality of this XNBR would be pretty strong, instead, the molecular formula would be short and weak.
Secondly, usually the XNBR raw material is filling in a 200kg drum, before the gloves dipping, the slurry will also be added casein, CMC, zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, sulfur, CaCO3 or Ca(OH)2.
1. The casein is necessary to increase viscosity of slurry to ensure the coating thickness.
2. CMC, the key point influences price, it’s added to replace XNBR to reduce the cost, but CMC doesn’t have water-retension property, some tiny holes would be left on the dipping surface after gloves dried. The life time and performance would be extremly affected if add too much CMC, 5-10kg added per drum is normal.
3. Zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and sulfur are also necessary to antioxidant and colour.
4. If clients have a weight requirement of gloves’ self weight to ensure the XNBR content, some producers would add CaCO3 or Ca(OH)2 to increase the weight instead of XNBR, this kind of gloves would be hard, short life time, easy to be tore and so on.
Usually, we suggest clients to choose 160-180kg XNBR per drum to ensure the quality and an acceptable price.
